Inman Aligner

We offer the Inman Aligner for those patients who want fast and effective teeth straightening treatment on misaligned upper or lower teeth. They are incredibly successful at realigning the front teeth quickly, but may not be suitable for some other orthodontic issues such as crowding.

What is the Inman Aligner?

The Inman aligner is a removable device which uses an innovative ‘push-pull” system to gently and effectively move the teeth into the desired location. The device is made up of a coiled spring on the back of the teeth, which work in conjunction with a metal bar across the front of the teeth. They both push and pull against each other causing the teeth to gently relocate into the correct position.

Although the Inman Aligner isn’t quite as “invisible” as clear braces, they are still very discreet with only a thin metal bar running across the front of the teeth.

How quickly do they work?

Although they are not as discreet as clear aligners they can work much faster than many of them, often achieving amazing results in a matter of months. During the consultation we can provide a more accurate treatment time for each individual patient.

We advise patients to wear the Inman Aligner for about 20 hours every day. They can be removed during eating and drinking as well as cleaning and flossing the teeth.

We have a number of patients who have worn the Inman Aligner after their teeth have relapsed after prior orthodontic treatment. If a dental retainer has not been worn, the aligned teeth can move out of position and become misaligned once again. Wearing the Inman Aligner can put the teeth back into the correct location quickly and effectively with minimum discomfort.
